i have been playing gw now for about 8 months and ranger is my fav char to play - my three fav skills for what they are worth are

whirling defence
poison arrow
troll ungent

overall these have saved me time after time and with all things considered are my fav

broadhead is far too slow to be much use in pvp, casters are going to be kiting most of the time

my 3:
flame trap
poison arrow
antidote signet (i just don't know)

edit: or maybe if you went right up to them and fired it it'd work well

I think i like the duplicate skills a lot better then the core skills of the same context just because it makes things feel new again. Zojin's Haste is becoming one of my favorite skills.
